Extremadura is our home. But can a place whose very name evokes both extreme and hardship truly be called home? We know no other. This is our land, and we are deeply in love with the way things are done here.

Challenge brings out the very best in us. It demands commitment, dedication, and sacrifice. It is no coincidence that Extremadura is home to the most demanding standards in Iberian production and one of the most prestigious Protected Designations of Origin in Spain.

Our home is our dehesa. Our acorns. Our curing cellars.

A place that can appear austere or luxurious, depending on the eyes that behold it.

Here, patience is cultivated. The land is respected, and so is time itself. We care for our centuries-old holm oaks with the same dedication that we devote to every Iberian delicacy we produce.

Once Upon a Time

It began as a dream—the kind that is lived with eyes wide open.

More than half a century ago, inspired by the beauty of the Extremaduran dehesas, Alfredo Gómez-Torres envisioned a brand of acorn-fed Iberian products that would pay tribute to this land: a region renowned for setting the highest standards of quality in Iberian gastronomy.

And so, Extrem Puro Extremadura was born.

A brand driven by an unwavering obsession with quality, respect for the land, and the welfare of the animals that make our products possible.

Since then, every person who has become part of Extrem has carried forward that legacy, applying the utmost care and dedication at every stage of the process—from the dehesa to the curing cellar.
