1. Scope
This Returns & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the EXTREM PURO EXTREMADURA online store and delivered within the European Union.
2. Food Products
Our products are food items intended for human consumption and, in many cases, are perishable or liable to deteriorate once delivered.
For reasons of food safety and hygiene, and in accordance with Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, returns cannot be accepted for food products that:
Have been opened, unsealed, or tampered with.
Show signs of deterioration due to improper storage or handling.
Have lost their original seal or packaging.
Are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
3. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with applicable European consumer legislation, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Perishable food products.
- Vacuum-packed food products that have been opened after delivery.
- Products made or prepared specifically to the customer’s specifications.
- Products that, by their nature, cannot be returned for hygiene or food safety reasons.
Nevertheless, any issue or concern raised by a customer will be reviewed individually by our Customer Care Team.
4. Damaged Products or Transport Incidents
If an order arrives damaged, deteriorated, or presents any anomaly attributable to transportation, the customer must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the order.
To process the claim, the following information will be required:
- Order number.
- Photographs of the external packaging.
- Photographs of the affected product(s).
- Detailed description of the issue.
After reviewing the documentation, EXTREM PURO EXTREMADURA may, at its discretion, offer:
- Replacement of the product.
- Partial or full refund.
- Store credit or gift voucher.
- An alternative solution agreed with the customer.
5. Incorrect Orders
If a customer receives a product different from the one ordered, they must notify us within 48 hours of receipt.
Once the issue has been verified, EXTREM PURO EXTREMADURA will assume all costs associated with collecting the incorrect item and delivering the correct product.
6. Product Characteristics
Our Iberian products are natural and artisanally produced. As such, slight variations may occur in:
- Weight.
- Shape.
- Colour.
- Fat marbling.
- Curing level.
These characteristics are inherent to the nature of artisanal Iberian products and do not constitute grounds for return or refund.
In the case of whole hams and shoulder hams, product yield may vary depending on natural factors specific to each individual piece.
7. Quality Claims
If a customer believes a product presents a quality issue, the claim must be submitted within 15 calendar days of receiving the order.
- Our Quality Department may request:
- Photographs of the product.
- Information regarding storage conditions.
- Product batch number.
- Partial or complete return of the product for inspection and analysis.
Following evaluation, we will determine the most appropriate resolution based on the findings.
8. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same payment method originally used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the customer's financial institution; however, refunds are generally issued within 14 calendar days from acceptance of the claim.
