Finca Rincón del Rosario, occupies a unique place, on horseback between the provinces of Alicante and Valencia, over an area of cultivation of 215 hectares, and in several municipal terms, one of them takes its name. The goal of Arròs Dénia is focused on obtaining the highest quality from the cultivation of two varieties of native rice that have traditionally been planted in this territory, pump and chocolate.

The latter stopped cultivating more than 50 years ago, but has returned thanks to the constancy of local farmers and the discovery of seeds dated in 1932. After the first phase of research and experimentation with alternative crops, the next campaign is expected get a good part of the organic production. However, the Finca Rincón del Rosario project, goes beyond being considered an agricultural exploitation for use, because from the first moment it was conceived as a sanctuary for native and migratory birds. Agricultural work and environmental management practices have allowed us to achieve ISO 14.001 certification. The Farm is already part of the Wildlife States network for its characteristics and potential in biodiversity. Round pearl-colored rice and consistent appearance. Recommended for cooking typical dishes of our region, dry or hot rice. Absorbs a lot of flavor and has greater resistance to overcooking.

Native and traditional in the area of Alicante, stopped cultivating more than 50 years ago. Recently, Pego farmers have recovered it thanks to some seeds dating back to 1932. It is grown in the ecological environment of the Natural Park of Marjal de Pego - Oliva (Spain), its own historical environment of this variety. Due to its structure, it absorbs a large amount of the flavor of the broth in which it is cooked, although it remains consistent, loose and whole.

Use tips:
